Q-Dive Hosts Seminar in Doha, Qatar
On Saturday the 8th of May at 7pm, Q-Dive Marine Center hosted a seminar on "Recreational Diving and its Positive Effects on the Environment and Tourism." The seminar was held at the Ramada Hotel in Doha (C Ring Road and Salwa Road Junction). Our guest speaker was Dr. Amro Abu Al Fateh, Chaiman of the South Sinai Association for Diving and Marine Activities. Diving and Marine Environment enthusiasts from the area were invited to the Lulwa Hall at the Ramada Hotel for this special event. The event was a success and well attended by many divers from the area as well as local Marine Scientists and those affiliated with the commercial diving industry in Qatar. As a result of the seminar and follow-on open discussion forum, Q-Dive staff will be raising a few issues with the relevant authorities in the near future to see if they can or are being addressed..
Q-Dive was proud to have Dr. Amro Abu Al Fateh, a PADI Master Instructor and TDI/PADI TRIMIX Instructor, the Operations Manager of Ocean College in Sharm El Sheik, Sinai, Egypt here in Doha as its guest speaker. Dr. Al Fateh is a Physio-therapist whose credentials include a PhD in Business Administration, Membership on the Supreme Council for Diving and Marine Activities in Egypt, and membership in the Egyptian Diving and Lifesaving Association.
